Understanding COVID-19 pandemic from religious dimension matters as it has affected religious communities. Analyzing from macro level such as the efforts of countries grappling with the issue is interesting, but we also need to capture the horizontal level such as religion, as it is close to our daily life. In a time of crisis, ideally religion could become the strong power that enlightens its believers into cooperating instead of triggering turmoil and risking human's life. Let's find out the dynamic of religious communities in some parts of the world when dealing with COVID-19 pandemic through this article. It described some of the points, such as, the hope of social cohesiveness promoted by religion amid this pandemic, the association of religion and 'emotional comfort', and the tenet of religion that always evolves in responding to the social changes including COVID-19 pandemic.
